Go Red for Women

While nearly 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented, cardiovascular diseases continue to be a woman’s greatest health threat, claiming the lives of 1 in 3 women. That’s a third of our mothers, sisters, and female friends.

On February 7, the American Heart Association asks people to wear red to raise awareness for women’s hearth health. On this day of increased awareness, they’re also working to raise $2.5 million to provide funding for research to help treat and prevent heart disease and strokes.
